October 10th is World Mental Health Day!

With the campaign theme “Mental Health at Work” this Mental Health Day focuses on the interplay between how our mental health affects our work, and how our work affects our mental health!
Recent statistics suggest that young people with mental health conditions are hesitant to disclose this to their employers and only about a third actually feel supported.
With so much of our lives revolving around our workplace it’s important to look out for one another, and ourselves.
“People should leave their personal lives at the door!”
Mental health is as much a part of a human being as physical health. Every person of any age deserves to work and be in a place where they feel supported.
People and especially young people struggling with their mental health should not feel like they are entering a work-force where they can’t be open about their mental health.
“So what can we do?”
Stay informed, support others, keep conversations open and let others know you are there to support them!
