Weekly Highlights

This week our students worked hard despite the heat. With frequent breaks, fans and plenty of water our students were able to achieve some great things:

When we think about great highlights, outstanding achievements and fun activities, it’s easy to forget the basics. Many of our students work very hard week after week and day after day to obtain their Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths and this week was no different.
We’re so impressed with all your hard work and dedication!

Many of the PSHE lessons this week focused on assessing personal risks and how we can avoid putting ourselves in dangerous situations. Students correctly identified common risks such as walking home in the dark, navigating traffic and being subjected to peer pressure. They then came up with some awesome advice to avoid danger and keep themselves and others safe. Great work everyone!

This week multiple students finished their AQA Unit Award “Designing and Producing a Decorative Piece of Body Art” which combined aspects of history and art and required students to be curious, creative and patient.

One student has worked incredibly hard on his ASDAN Maths course and this week, after many hours of work, finished one whole module worth two credits!
Your attention to detail, willingness to learn and motivation to keep going has been amazing to watch and we are so proud of your achievement!

Have a lovely weekend everyone and enjoy the sunshine!
