This week has been exciting, indoors and outdoors!
Have a look at what our students have been up to:
Since the term’s coming to an end, many projects, that have been ongoing for weeks are starting to be finished up!
The digital pinball machine now actually works, bird feeders are ready to feed birds, Mother’s Day presents are good to go and video games designed by students are nearly ready for testing!
At this rate, we can start a construction business on the side soon!

This week our students made use of the lovely weather and went to build a bridge. The area is frequently used by BSL forest school students, who have been in dire need of a safe way to cross the ditch leading into the forest area!
Indoors our students on the Construction ASDAN Short course started putting up a wall downstairs for some remodelling happening over the Easter break (how exciting!)
I CAN’T show you the work our students have done in their THRIVE sessions, because each THRIVE session is highly personal to the student and their emotions and experiences.
I CAN show you some of the awesome resources our THRIVE practitioners use to facilitate communication, understanding and skills building.
This week our students tackled perspective taking, reflecting and speaking positively of themselves.

In the spirit of Mother’s Day coming up this weekend we have had different activities available for students who wanted to engage with them during break times. Word searches, colouring and a surprisingly tricky “How Well Do You Know Your Mum” sheet kept us all busy!
In addition students could make use of the card making supplies in the art area to create an extra special handmade card (I can’t show you, yet, of course!).
We hope you have a relaxing weekend and are ready for the last week of term before the Easter break!
