Week two our students really got their teeth stuck into this term’s topics!
Students continued building their Maths and English skills this week. Some used IXL, while others preferred other methods, but all did a fantastic job!
Maria was particularly impressed by AF who completed an IXL section on writing and grammar and scored 100%!

Some of our slightly older students have started thinking about what they want to do over the next few years to put them on a path towards a career they’ll thrive in!
In timetabled post-16 sessions, they researched jobs, unis, colleges, wrote CVs and looked into qualifications they could get.

This week’s PHSE lessons focused on discrimination, what forms it can take, what impact it may have and how we can react to it. Students showed great insight and understanding and we were really impressed with their views on the topic!
But there wasn’t just great work being done in the SB building! Some of our students are taking their skills to whole new heights at The Arc climbing centre where they will be spending this term climbing but also team-building while working on a wall climbing qualification.
It’s been wonderful this week seeing our returning students really get into this term’s topics and seeing our new students settle in nicely and get started on their journey with us!
