Teen Sleep Hub is a website owned by The Sleep Charity.
The Sleep Charity provides information and support on how to get a good night’s sleep, common disorders affecting sleep and life style choices we can make to improve our sleep.
The NHS recommends a minimum of 8h of sleep per night for 12-18 year olds to support positive mental health, brain function and physical fitness.
A lot of teenagers struggle to get enough sleep for a variety of reasons and this is where The Sleep Charity wants to help.
Their website specifically for teenagers contains a great amount of informative videos as well as tips and tricks for teenagers, schools and carers that can help them establish healthy habits, identify reasons for sleep disturbances and make small alterations that can greatly improve sleep hygiene.
On top of just providing information, the Teen Sleep Hub puts emphasis on reassuring young people that more often than not their sleep issues aren’t their fault and they are not lazy, but that they have the power to improve their sleep given the right resources.
