Weekly Highlights

We’re getting closer to the end of our first term back now and it’s been amazing seeing our students get stuck into their learning and projects!

And just like that we can add another operational machine to the SB-Arcade! With the final touches in place and the mat secured to the base SB’s very own Dance Dance Revolution machine is now up and running!
We love seeing these collaborative project come to life.

Being on social media is a normal part of life for many of our students. During this term they are really thinking critically about what that means and what is appropriate. Last week they focused specifically on what is okay to post and how what we share can affect our reputation down the line.

Cloudy skies can’t keep us indoors! Two of our students got the cameras out and tried to be vigilant to find beautiful things to take pictures of in the area.

Alongside their academic learning many of our students engage in Thrive sessions to work on some social and emotional learning. They really impressed us with their willingness to tackle tricky subjects like anxiety and learning from our mistakes.

Our students doing cooking get to cook every other week and do theory the rest of the time. Last week they engaged in a lesson on food labelling followed by an experiment turning milk into cheese!

What a great week!
