We kicked things off with some web development work, building out an e-commerce clothing site called “TAPS” in Visual Studio Code. The focus was on HTML structure and CSS styling, and by the end of the session, we’d completely overhauled the colour scheme, swapping out grey accents for a sleek cyan theme that really makes the design pop. Working across multiple files, we updated navigation elements, product cards, buttons, and the overall site styling while keeping the cart functionality intact. It’s shaping up to be a genuinely professional-looking storefront.

Over in Roblox Studio, we tackled something a bit more ambitious: a cookie-clicking game with a full shop system. This meant diving deep into Lua scripting, writing functions for cookie collection mechanics, shop interfaces, and getting the server and client to communicate properly. There was some solid troubleshooting involved when the shop button wasn’t behaving, but working through those bugs is all part of the learning process. By the end, we had working cookie rewards, an upgrade system, and a clean UI. A proper game is taking shape.
