At SB it’s not just our students that keep learning! To improve our understanding and our ability to support our students SB staff are dedicated to keep learning, too.
Lucy has recently completed a 6-month course to earn an Understanding Autism Level 3 certificate. About her experience with the course she said:
“I found the course content useful, informative and well structured, the modules covered a lot of areas from positive behavioural support to safeguarding and co-occurring conditions.
I feel I will be able to draw on my newfound knowledge and implement skills, albeit sometimes unconsciously!
I really enjoyed the course and would recommend it to anyone who works with or has children with an autism diagnosis.
A wonderful insight into the challenges faced by individuals with autism and how best to support someone to help them manage their difficulties.”
