Weekly Highlights

Another awesome week at SB. Have a look at what our students were up to here:

Last week ES tested his patience building a LEGO car and then his knowledge when programming the car to drive! He created a short algorithm including making the car go forward and turning. Have a look for yourself what that looked like!

If you look at this and think it looks complex, that’s because it is! Game design is no easy feat but some of our students are giving it a good go. Designing the environment and mechanics of the game takes patience, focus, persistence and a whole lot of creativity!

This term our students are having a go at air brushing. Using a completely new medium and tool can be pretty tricky, even to the most experienced artists, but over the course of this term they will get a chance to practice, improve and create awesome things.

After making bread with yogurt the week before, last week our students made delicious wholemeal rolls using yeast. This required the extra step of letting the dough prove for a little bit!
The rolls turned out awesome and it smelled like delicious fresh baked bread all week!
If you want to give it a go, here is the recipe:

Our students keep working hard on their Maths and English. By following the Functional Skills plans we can make sure that our students learn everything they need to do for a FS exam in an order that makes sense.
Each and every one of the students continues to amaze us with their motivation and hard work.

What a great week!
