Weekly Highlights

It’s been our first week back after the half-term and it’s been a busy one!
Have a look at what our students were up to and what is going to be happening this term:

This term even more students are beginning or continuing their functional skills Maths and English journeys. This week a few students did their initial assessments while others continued at the level they have been working at this far.

To support some of our older students with their future planning a few of them have been engaging in Post-16 sessions during which they can discuss things like CV writing, career paths, further education options and more!

While most of our students attend SB on site, we also support some young people off site! This week one of our outreach students visited several places in Chippenham including Pets@home and the Chippenham museum!

Even though it is only November a lot of the DT work this term will focus on our upcoming Christmas open day. Our students will be designing, making and assembling a variety of things to sell, while also considering the feasibility and pricing of each item!

With all the hard work going on of course having fun can’t come short either. Whether it’s to build resilience, for team-building or just to relax and have fun every once in a while it’s nice to just have a game and a laugh.

We’re really looking forward to seeing what this term will bring!
