Pay: £22,222.00-£24,952.00 per year

Job Description:

Duties

Provide mentorship and guidance to children aged 11 – 21 years
Create a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn and grow
Assist with behavior management and implement positive supportive strategies
Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support the child’s development
Plan and facilitate educational activities that promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
Supporting Post 16 offering guidance and options for future options
DT (textiles and cooking) knowledge would be an advantage to support delivery in this vocation at RQF standard E- Level – up to and including Level 2
Have English and maths at GCSE or L2 as standard
Be available to work across both our sites

Skills

Knowledgeable in education principles and supporting SEMH & ADHD needs
Experience in behaviour management techniques for children with SEMH needs
Strong mentoring skills to guide and inspire children
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and caregivers
Experience working with children in an educational or mentoring capacity
Ability to educate and engage children in various subjects, including cooking, textiles, PSHE, Maths, English, and Creative Technology. Willing to work off-site on occasion or when referral requires in a school or home setting
